A Day at the Farm

Maya is a Wisconsin girl!!! We went to a farm and this was Maya first time being around Cows, Pigs, Calf's and Chickens!! She did amazing, all she wanted to do is touch and pet and see what those crazy animals were doing. I thought she might be frightened by the big cows but no she wanted to pet it and she even let the big cow lick her. It seems the bigger the animal the more she likes it.
So this farm is were a lot of people that live at the Institute get fresh milk and eggs. Their eggs are huge and to die for. The couple that owns the farm is a great couple and they just let us come out and roam around. We will be going back with Josiah so he can see Maya's reaction. This time my friend Maureen and her daughter Tulsi came and it was so much fun to see the kids enjoying the outdoors. I didn't realize how fun it would be to show Maya things for the very first time. It is humbling to know that she is seeing everything for the first time, it makes you appreciate the world more and makes you slow down to show her things. I absolutely love it!!!

First ride on my back

Yesterday Maya took her first ride on my back! She absolutely loved riding in back and almost fell asleep. It was gorgeous out yesterday and Maureen and I went walking with the two kids. It is so much fun having another mom with similar age child living right down stairs from me. It is really priceless! Enjoy!!!

Spring has arrived!!

So Spring has finally sprung!!! It has been in the 80's here the last two days and oh man it is nice. Maya and I have been walking like mad men and it has been great. We have an Ergo which we LOVE. It allows me to walk in the woods with her and to actually hike. If anyone isn't familiar the Ergo is what I am wearing her in on the first picture. I recommend all mom's and dad's should own one. Maya loves it she falls asleep almost immediately in it. The second picture is of my friend Maureen and her baby Tulsi. We are at an Earth Day event they have every year in Hawley. It was fun they have trails to walk and Kayaking. We couldn't do the kayaking but we really wanted to! It was such a nice day.
Maya is doing wonderful she is eating TONS! She loves food and can't get enough. She likes everything we have given her so far except peas she still isn't sure of but she will eat them. She also has learned how to give 5 this week!! She loves giving 5 and will give 5 to anyone that askes. I hope you are all well I miss you all!!

Maya with Korliss
I hope you can see all of these pictures!! Maya and I just got home from WI and we had a blast. I can't believe how much she changed in the two and 1/2 weeks we were in WI. She learned how to sit by herself. She also is eating like a champ and I really have to work to keep the girl full. Because she is eating so much she is also putting on some pretty good sized cheeks!
We did so much when we were at home and saw so many people. It is hard to believe I still have not seen everyone I would have like to. Josiah and I are planning a trip home again in June and we will plan to see people that we didn't get to see this trip (that means you Cass family).
Maya absolutely loved all the grandparents but I must say that her favorite person was her cousin Ryan. She just could not get enough of the guy. It was fun for me to watch her interact with the two cousins, Sarah is 5 and Ryan is 3. Sarah was so patient with her and wanted to teach her anything she could.
Well we had fun in WI and miss you all so much I can hardly stand it. I hope all of you are well.
