Groth Baby Blog: March 2008

Maya is almost 17 months old. She is talking up a storm and trying to put together sentences. She mimics everyone all the time, it is so funny. We were in Church on Sunday, Josiah lined her stuffed animals ( a monkey and a pig) up on the top of the pew in front of us. The pig fell down to the ground and he said "Pig Down", Maya immediately chimed in and said "Pig Down". She loves birds and animals and I can't wait until it warms up so we can visit my Aunt Chic and see her goats and kittens!
I am 17 weeks pregnant and feeling so much better! I am growing tons and shame on me for not yet taking one belly picture. It is true what they say about not having as much time with your second one. I just don't think about it or to be honest fell like doing it. I am getting big and I can not wear normal clothes. I am feeling the baby mostly at night but the baby is active. Our next checkup is April 1st and Josiah and I have decided we want to know the sex of the baby. We didn't find out with Maya but for some reason we really want to know for this one. I think mostly so we can tell Maya she is having a brother or a sister. Let's hope the baby cooperates so we can find out!
We had an amazing Easter, it happened that my brothers original plans changed and he and his family got to spend Easter Sunday with all of us. It was really special to have the whole family here and we always have a fun time. The highlight was of course the Easter Bunny coming for the kids. We went on walks and played games and just hung out! That is what I love about brothers and sisters we just love each other and have a great time! I think to myself so often thank God we moved home so we can see all of our family so much. I have enjoyed visiting with my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that come and visit my Grandpa. Getting to know everyone again has been really great!
The weekend before Easter we had a great weekend with Josiah's family. We had supper at Linda's house and Elias, his new girlfriend Ashley, Ayla and her fiance Josh all got together. That doesn't happen that often so it was really fun. It was our first time meeting Ashley and we just love her! I secretly hope he marries her because she would make a great addition to our family. Maya LOVED Ashley and it was fun to watch them play!
Our Seat For Your Soul photo shoot was pushed to next weekend as our photographer had a double ear infection and strep throat. He is getting healthier and we sure didn't want to catch it so it will be OK to do all the photos in one day! Back to the sewing machine for me!
