Two weeks from open

We are now two weeks from opening our Wellness Center!! Everything is going really well, Josiah and his mother have painted the whole place and it looks great. I will be taking pictures of the space soon to post so you can all see the progress! Josiah has been a very busy man getting the space ready between teaching classes, giving massages and working on the back end of things for the business. He is in his element and I am so proud of him, it feels so great to be doing something that we love and that we have been working so hard to accomplish for so many years. We have also had some time to play. We celebrated our 9th anniversary on June 12th. We didn't do much because of us being busy but we still enjoyed it. We went to the zoo on fathers day, I have some video of Maya with some of the animals. Josiah also got great video of Maya signing some of her favorite nursery rhymes and making funny faces.
Mary and Mike came to visit with us a couple weeks ago we had a good time. They bought Maya her first set of building blocks and a stroller for her dolly's. She loves them both and plays with them all the time.
We planted a big garden this year, our goal is to grow as much as we possibly can because I am sick of paying 1.50 for one pepper. The garden is growing so well and yesterday we got to eat our first produce, radishes out of the garden. Maya thought it was awesome but hot! Josiah's mom has been helping us with the garden thank goodness because with me being so big it is hard for me to weed or really do anything with the garden. She also is an expert gardener so her help is priceless! It has also been really fun spending so much time with her.
I will try and keep you all updated on the opening and how it is going but if you don't hear from me for a while it is just because we are so busy!! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

This is for our friends Maureen, Jon and Tulsi we miss sharing home cooked meals with you! Maya is enjoying her mango lassi and Kitchery

27 weeks and 19 Months

Well we made it through our first big trade show. I have to say we could not have done it without the Grandparents, my mother, father and Josiah's mother all came with us to help with Maya and the booth. We needed all three of them especially because I am getting so big and really can't do to much. The trade show went extremely well and we sold more cushions then we expected. We also received some great feed back, people really liked the fabric selection and the size selection. Josiah was so great in the booth. I know he is an exceptional sales person and yoga teacher but seeing him at work in the booth made me so proud of him. You would see people come into the booth and they really were not smiling or laughing and you could tell they only wanted one cushion. By the time Josiah sat with them and fit them to their meditation posture they were smiling and joking with him. He has such a talent for relating to people and really helping people. He was in his element and it should in our sales! We also got our store up online you should check it out http://www.seatforyoursoul.com/ then click on order or cushions and it will take you to our store. I will be expanding the store to carry yoga supplies and books so keep your eyes open for that!!

Now that we are home from the trade show we are working hard on getting our Wellness center started. We have the floor and paint purchased and will start painting this weekend. Since I am pregnant and can't paint so our relatives and friends are coming to help us paint!! We are so excited about this next adventure and it is something we have been waiting to do for five years!
Maya and the baby are doing great!! Maya did so well being away from us this last weekend I was so proud of her. She would wake up in the morning and tell my Mom that Mommy and Daddy are selling cushions!! My cousin Lee and his wife Cara are living only 15 minutes away from were the trade show was, so we got to spend time with them. They have a 11 month old named Laurel and she is so cute. We took the girls swimming they both loved it! Maya has loved water from the start and I wasn't sure if she would still be into it but to our surprise she wanted to swim and she wanted to do it herself. She obviously can't do it herself yet but I think she will get the hang of it soon. Everything with the baby is going great, I am getting bigger and feeling the baby kicking me all the time. I have heartburn more with this one then with Maya. We are still thinking of names but have a few that we really like. We are happy to be home and back to our routine for now! I hope everyone is well and hopefully we will have warmer weather soon!! Here are some pictures and video!
