Maya's first car

Maya loves this car. Josiah and I could not figure out way Maya was crying when we went into the house, then we noticed that we put her car outside the door so every time we pass she thinks she gets to ride. When she doesn't get to ride she cries. We will be moving the car today to a different location. She isn't long enough to make it go with her feet but she tries. It is cute you are pushing her and her little feet are just moving trying to keep up.

Maya's friend Maxx turns one today!!! Happy birthday MAXX!!!

Hummus Anyone?

Maya trying to walk to Tulsi

The hummus

These beautiful pictures were of course taken by Maureen with her new camera!!! They are so crisp and clear. Both the Janaka family and the Groth family were outside last night setting up a new swimming pool for the girls. Maureen had some hummus and of course Maya could not stand being left out so she had to have some. The funny part is that Tulsi wanted to feed Maya so bad so she put the chip with the hummus to Maya's mouth. She sometimes missed hence the food on Maya's face but for the most part she hit!! We had a good time and the pool is great!! I will get some pictures of the actual pool and post it. Hope all is well we are still here melting away in PA!

This is for my Aunt Chic

This post is for my Aunt Chic! She faithfully checks my blog daily. Maya finally got to meet Chic when we went home in June. I was so excited for Maya to meet Chic as Chic had a big impact on my childhood. She was the cool Aunt that you could not wait to see because you new you would have so much fun!! I have great memories growing up with her. Chic I hope you know you mean the world to me, I love you.

More swimming fun

We went swimming a couple days ago at a Lake close to Honesdale. Maya again loved the water and could not wait to run in and out of the water. Josiah was working so he could not come with us, so I had parent duty of running Maya in and out of the water. I think I ran her in and out of the water almost 100 times. My back hurt but it was worth it to see how much fun she was having.

This is problably number 50

Nearing #100
Thank you to Maureen for all the great pictures

Very Hot Night

It was VERY humid and hot last night. Maya could not sleep so we were up playing. She has curly hair when it is humid like I do and I could not resist playing with it. Here are some shots of her crazy hair!! Her and I had a good time playing and eventually got to sleep!!

July fun in the backyard

Maya loves to walk so we are trying to teach her how to push things. She was not a fan.
Maya, Tulsi and Jason playing drums on the picnic table.
All the kids painting together

Maya and Omit playing ball
Anita, Omit, Maya and myself

This was the first time Maya could ride something without my help. It was also the first time Tulsi wanted to push someone! They had fun!

This was our first play time since we got home! Maya woke up from a nap and we went to the backyard and who do we find? All our friends having a good old time!! It was a great surprise and Maureen as always took these great pics. It was fun to see how much the kids have changed. Everyone is now mobile so it keeps us parents on our toes. It is nice having all the parents to help keep on eye on everyone. All three of the little kids are great natured so they are not hard to watch. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

Our Time Home

Grandma and Grandpa Hart with all of the grandkids. Ryan 3, Maya 7 months and Sarah 5
Maya with her cousins Sarah and Ryan.
My water baby!! Maya loved Aunt Mary's pool, we had a blast
WOW what a fire!! Mary turned 30 and Mike had a great idea of taping all 30 candles together and putting them on the cake for Mary! It was an awsome sight.
This is Grandpa's favorite past time. He loves to read stories to the kids. Grandpa's going to need a bigger lap!

We spent a month in Wisconsin visiting family and friends. This time Josiah was there for three weeks. It was great having him around and he was really missed when he had to go home. It was a busy four weeks, Josiah helped his Mom move and it just happened that his Dad also moved to a new house in Madison on the same day his Mom moved. His family was in transition with Dave moving, Linda moving and Elias decided to move back to PA. I am glad we could be home to support everyone in the moves.
Uncle Elias is now living in PA right down the road from us! I am so excited to have family close again. He came over last night for supper and Maya took right to him. Elias has plans to travel to Africa soon so I hope they can bond before he gets shipped off!!
Maya is now crawling (Thank God) She is trucking around the living room like there is no tomorrow!! I have to have her in pants all the time because she is getting rug burn. I am sure her knees will get used to it but I feel bad for her right now. She is also cruising on everything she can. She has been doing this for some time now but she is getting more efficient at it.
She started to make the "all done" sign. It looks like waving but she is getting the idea. For anyone that doesn't know Josiah and I have been trying to teach her sign language since birth. Kids really can't pick it up until 6-10 months of age but doing it from birth has gotten Josiah and I in the habit of using the signs. It is exciting to see that she is starting to grasp language.
We had a blast in Wisconsin and miss you all already. I will start planning the next trip shortly! Love you all!!
